Ignacio at Havana

One day in September 2006 i received a phonecall from a guy from Utrecht. His name was Ignacio and he was a deejay. He’d seen my T-shirts and paintings in shop ‘The Revenge’ and he loved my style. His question was if we could do something together. I was already flattered that he was enthusiastic about my style and i was enthusiastic about his suggestion. We agreed to meet up at Havana, one of the place’s where Ignacio plays.

When i entered Havana, my mouth fell open. Such a beautiful place. Just like they took a piece of Latin America and placed it right there in Utrecht. I met Ignacio at the bar. He looks just like Carl Cox (even these days i still wonder if they’re brothers). Anywayz, we both were loaded with enthusiasm. So we agreed on a sponsorship. The owner of Havana heard us talking and got infected by our enthusiasm. This meeting ended not just in a cool deejay sponsor deal. But also in sponsoring club Havana. And above all in a great friendship with Ignacio. Below is the first result of our cooperation: Latin Lounge, Friday 13 October 2006.
