Happy holidays to you all! Did you notice? This year was a very special christmas. Coz for the first since a long time, it was a white christmas! Beautiful! Makes me wanna go snowboarding! I’m gonna go to France this year. In February. Val Thorens. And this is what my board looks like. The customized Lyggy board. With spikes and all. I call her: Lyggy Overdosis. [For those who are interested, the board is from world extreme champion Axel Pauporté, model 2001-2002]. My apology to artist Lucky Basterd for altering his design.

Today he entered the harbour of Schiedam. And from today all the kids of the Netherlands are counting down to 5 December. The birthday of St.Nicolas. And of course Osito Debilo can’t stay behind. Behold: Osito Debilo Nicolaso!

Some of you loyal fans might have encountered it already. But this is a picture from a very special Osito Debilo. And although it might have the appearance  of a wild animal, this Osito Debilo is probably the sweetest of them all. It is extremely soft. Very patient and quiet. But loves to cuddle.

Unfortunately there’s only Osito Debilo like this. At least, for now… coz who knows what will happen in the future…

I thought the first jeans Farao and i were working on was great already. I was totally impressed with the talent that Farao has in creating jeans. But we’ve been working on model II and this one turned out so much cooler than the first! We’ve taken the first jeans to a complete new level! But you still have to be patient, coz eventhough it looks great already, we’re still perfecting it. To be continued…

Farao and i have been working on a new project. Or should i say, a new garment. And altho this is the first prototype which still needs some adjustments, here is the very first Farao Poptasi Jeans! Yay! For those who don’t quite get the writing on the jeans: on top is the date on which we bought the fabric, which is 7 july 2009. Then there is written ‘Farao’, but since he is Egyptian and Arabic is written from right to left (not like our left-to-right) his name is also from right to left. And Poptasi wouldn’t be Poptasi if it has a little twist as well. Therefor we wrote it upside-down. Get it? Well anywayz, you’ll need a mirror if you wanna be able to read it.

At this moment we’re perfectioning the jeans. Coz we want it to be the perfect jeans. Hopefully you’re patient enough. To be continued…

Today i was at the Adobe User Group in Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. I met some cool designers and saw inspiring work. Which reminded me of my own motto, which i wrote on the back of the t-shirt label: LYG, Let Yourself Go. (Yeah, sometimes i have to remind myself to myself). But hey, it’s not that i don’t have enough inspiration. On the contrary, i have plenty. It’s time that i am missing. But then again, that’s not an excuse. Right? Well, i can tell you that i am working on something new. And tomorrow i am going shopping for fabrics. One of them will be jeans. That’s all i can say for now. Don’t wanna spoil the surprise completely.

I know this is not a newy (it’s actually old news), but somehow this news-item got lost. So what better to do than re-place it! Osito in the NS (Dutch railroads) magazine Rails! Yay!

I received  this incredible cool image from Xbox game Forza2 from one of my biggest fans and best drivers (in the game and becoming one in real!). It’s painted in 107 layers! Unbelievable. And it looks exactly like mine! Many thanks to Anthonie!

It has come to my attention that many amongst you seem to have forgotten what Lyggy stands for. And i don’t mean the literary meaning, coz everyone know that Lyggymeans Let Yourself Go. But i’m talking about the philosophy behind it. Coz it’s not just a funny character. Lyggy is symbolising the life motto to really let yourself go. Don’t let others tell you what to do. Don’t let your opinion depend on what others think. I don’t mean you should be rebellious. But just to trust your instinct. Follow your feelings. And listen to your heart. In the end it is your life. Feel free. Let yourself go. I know that it’s hard for some of us. But trust me, it will make your life more joyful.
